INTIMATE WORKSHOP

NOVEMBER 2020

An alternative method of research for artists or designers, where I designed workshop that explores how sex education (or lack of it) affected and influenced the sexual identities of various individuals.

During this workshop, I worked along with four individuals where I conversed with them regarding their sexual identities, whilst carrying out a small engaging activity. Which involved creating a small personalised pouch, as a form of conversational tool or cultural probe. In order to engage conversation with the participant when discussing highly sensitive and intimate topics. As a result of this workshop, I have created a tote bag including all the pouches of my participants, including my own. Each pouch serves as a symbol and representation of the vulnerabilities of that particular participant.
